Self improvement and chasing your dreams are worthy and noble goals, but don’t lose sight of what’s most important to you in the process.

No one likes the guy who finds it his obligation to mess with you when you are hung over. But, if it’s your kid, by all means, mess with them.

Follow the recipe the first time, you can deviate the next time.

"Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let each year find you a better man."

— Benjamin Franklin

Pay Attention to the Details

Life is in the details. Shine your shoes, match you belt, make sure nothing’s wrinkled, etc. It doesn’t end with how you dress either. Pay attention to the little things and you can achieve big things.

Christmas Time

You’re never too old for Christmas. The only change is the role you play in the holiday. It was easy to get into the spirit of things when you knew you would wake up to a pile of toys, but then again, life in general was pretty easy. Being selfless, spending time with the people you care about and doing things for others are what will bring back that feeling you used to get when you were young.

If you’re going to cover a song, make it your own. Everyone knows what the original sounds like, you can’t top it.

"If a man does not have an ideal and try to live up to it, then he becomes a mean, base and sordid creature, no matter how successful."

— Theodore Roosevelt
